Biography

Fang Bairong, Associate Chief Physician, Ph.D., Department of Burn, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Peking University Health Science Center in 2004 and obtained his Ph.D. in Plastic Surgery from the Department of Plastic Surgery, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Tsinghua University Medical College in 2009. He was a state-sponsored visiting scholar at the Department of Plastic Surgery, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, and Parfitt Private Aesthetic Hospital in the United States.

He specializes in refined periorbital aesthetic surgery, comprehensive rhinoplasty, hair transplantation, and plastic and reconstructive surgery of the external ear, breast, and other areas. As principal investigator, he has led one national-level, one provincial-level, and one departmental-level research project, and has published 15 papers in domestic and international journals.

As the first contributor, he won second prize in the paper competition of the 8th Song Ruyao National Young Plastic Surgeons Forum; as the second applicant, he received the First Fosun Science and Technology Achievement Award of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, the Third Prize of the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and the Third Prize of the 11th Hunan Medical Science and Technology Award.

He currently serves as a Committee Member of the Rhinoplasty Branch of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery; a Youth Committee Member of the Aesthetic Medicine Specialty of the Chinese Research Hospital Association; a Youth Committee Member of the Scar Medicine Branch of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery; Deputy Head of the Burn and Repair and Reconstruction Branch of the Hunan Medical Association; a Standing Committee Member of the Rhinoplasty Branch of the Hunan Medical Plastic and Aesthetic Association; a Standing Committee Member of the Plastic and Aesthetic Branch of the Hunan Association of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine; a Standing Committee Member of the Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Thread Lift Branch of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery; and a Youth Committee Member of the Hunan Medical Aesthetics and Beauty Association.
